Never Pay For Traffic Again ...

If you've been reading the past few issues of this newsletter ... as well as simply paying attention to what's working and what's not in the world of online marketing, you'll notice that there is a lot of talk about pop windows. If this is the first time you've heard of pop windows or you're a novice, then do yourself a favor and check out issues 35 and 36.

If you are sick of hearing about pop windows, then join the crowd. I too am tired of reading about them and even more so, WRITING about them. But I can't and YOU can't deny the fact that they work. It doesn't matter what variation of pop windows you use, they ALL work!

Now, can pop windows be annoying? ... HECK YEAH! ... when used incorrectly of course (like with porn sites). But, generally speaking and when not over used, they kick butt in producing great results whether it be traffic or sales or subscribers or anything else you can think of.

Over the past few weeks we've been testing out a new system called TrafficSwarm. It combines a variety of traffic generating systems - one of them being pop windows. We introduced this system to our private members a couple of weeks and everyone has been amazed at how well it works ... especially because it's 100% FREE!

Anyway, if you want a very new and proven system of generating traffic to your site or even affiliate program, take a look at TrafficSwarm. It's totally free and when used consistently, you almost will never have to pay for traffic again.

Frequently Asked Questions (Part 1)

How do you deal with angry or rude customers ... you know, the kind that just complain all the time?

Well, first you have to keep in mind that there are many individuals who are just complainers ... whether it's your website or product or when they go out to dinner or watch TV or drive their cars. They just love to complain.

With these people, you just can't do anything. Help them out once or twice but don't go out of your way as they will only bitch and complain more and more. But these type of customers are only a very small percentage of your customer base.

Most customers will complain for genuine reasons. And my advice is pay attention and see what they heck they are complaining about. Especially if you are getting the same complaint over and over again.

In many ways, complainers are a blessing in disguise. They are giving you free feedback regarding your business and you have the opportunity to FIX the problem, improve it and probably make a lifelong customer out of it.

The customer will be thankful and so will your bank account. Of course, don't take abuse from your customers either. Some people are just rude. If that's the case, just delete the email. You don't need that type of garbage and you definitely don't need that type of customer.

Frequently Asked Questions (Part 2)

Can I start a successful business with just an affiliate program? Is this even possible?

Yes, of course. Most definitely. In fact, Forrester Research states that over 21% of all online sales by 2003 will be through affiliate sites and programs.

Anyway, the first thing you need to do is find a good affiliate program:

1. one that pays out well (don't waste your time with something that pays out a couple of bucks)
2. make sure the product is in demand (impossible to sell something that people don't want or need)
3. make sure the site has a good sales process (sales letter, web design, etc.)
4. make sure the company has really good support to keep up with all the people that you send over to them (a sale is rarely made on the first try ... make sure they have a good follow-up system in place)
5. make sure there isn't too much competition for a product either (if you have to compete with 50,000 other affiliates that have been around for the past 3 years, you are NEVER gonna make much money or too many sales)
6. lastly, make sure the company is a reputable one (they pay on time, are honest, have been around for a couple of years, etc.)

My advice is that if you are really going to take an affiliate program seriously ... which you should, then DEFINITELY purchase and USE the product you are going to promote. I have NEVER promoted anything that I didn't try and liked and found effective.

In fact, many times, I think the site is awesome and the product SEEMS to be amazing ... but I then purchase it and notice how crappy it is. Or the company has just horrible service which means refunds and unsatisfied customers.

Either way, I'm glad that I didn't promote it because my name and reputation, time and energy would have all gone out the door and into the trash.

Anyway, there are a couple of sites that are dedicated just to affiliate programs. AssociatePrograms.com and ReferIt.com are two good sites to help you get started.

One thing to please keep in mind ... do NOT over extend yourself by joining dozens of affiliate programs. That's crazy. Pick 1-3 good programs ... hopefully each one will be complimentary to the other and just focus on those.

And remember, you will have to promote them. There is no other way for you to make money. Use pop-under advertising to automate your promotions ... use TrafficSwarm to do it all for free ... use ezine advertising as well.

All the above 3 methods have proven themselves many times and it's a great way to get started because they are all either super low cost and/or totally automated.

Summary

If you want a simple way to produce traffic to your site ... one that works 24/7, totally automated, targeted, "viral", proven, risk-free and 100% FREE - take a look at the newest site promotion strategy for 2002 at TrafficSwarm.

Angry, rude and complaining customers are just a part of business ... or even life for that matter. You can't please everyone and you shouldn't anyway. But pay attention to some of the complaints as you can use this as very important feedback regarding your business. Improve the "problems" and you'll have more loyal customers and higher sales as well. Not to mention less stress.

You can most definitely start a successful business purely based on affiliate programs. There are a few do's and don'ts so make sure you read the above faq. But you have to make sure you do not participate in too many programs. Pick 1-3 good ones that compliment each other and then spend 98% of your time promoting.

Use pop-under advertising to automate your promotions ... use TrafficSwarm to do it all for free ... use ezine advertising as well. All 3 ways are proven, super low cost and totally automated.

And finally, please BUY and USE the product/service that you will be promoting. Do NOT ever promote or endorse something that you don't use yourself or else you could ruin your reputation and waste time and money promoting something that won't sell well.

Thanks for taking the time to read this issue. Please do me and yourself a favor and take 20 seconds and tell me what you think about this issue. You can rate it below. I can't reply back to all your emails (I get hundreds of them), but I DO read EVERY SINGLE ONE of them and really try my best to give you more of what you do like and less of what you don't. Results are seen after your submission.
