Guaranteed & Targeted Traffic ... For FREE?

One of the most popular questions we receive almost daily ... since the first day I started my web business is "how can I get traffic to my site?". Heck, I ask that question all the time myself. I read newsletters and ask my marketing friends the same thing.

Of course, getting traffic to your site is simple if you have lots of money. But the hard part is getting TARGETED traffic that can lead to potential customers. As well, getting all of these new people without having to spend a fortune ... and preferably doing it for very low cost (and hopefully for FREE!)

Since this is such a huge topic and very important one as well, we will do multiple articles on this subject. Today's issue will deal with joint ventures (one tactic for getting customers for FREE) and pay-per-click advertising (one tactic for getting TARGETED and guaranteed traffic to your site).

Frequently Asked Questions (Part 1)

What do you think about joint ventures and can/should I get started doing one? I've never done this and I'm totally clue-less.

Doing a joint venture is an awesome way to make almost guaranteed sales without any risk and you can see the positive results almost overnight.

If you are new to marketing, a joint venture (or JV) is when you approach another business or marketer or competitor and ask them if the would like to promote your product/service for a specific % of the profits. And the reverse is also possible where you ask them if YOU can promote THEIR product/service.

Basically, it's a win/win temporary partnership.

We have an entire section devoted specifically to this one topic in our Cash Flow Reporter because we know how important JV's can be to a business. So, I'm not going to get into all the specifics right now because it would take up MANY pages (too long for a newsletter issue).

But I will give you a basic summary of "pros" and "cons".

PROS

1. You can see the positive results almost instantly. If your JV partner does a solo mailing to his list/customers, you will receive orders that same day.

2. Almost no risk on your part. It's not like an ad where you have to pay money and weren't sure if you'd even make a sale. With a JV, you pay out based on sales only. No sale, no pay out.

3. You build a profitable partnership for the future. You can then do cross-sales and so forth and really increase the value of your business and customer base by having strategic JV partners.

4. A great way to make money when you don't have any and are just starting out. If you don't have any advertising dollars, you can do a JV and make some quick bucks. If you don't have a product/service of your own, you can do a JV with someone else's and instant sales again. It's a win/win situation either way.

CONS

1. You will have to give away 40-75% of the profits ... more if you are just staring out and don't really have a name or the credibility yet.

2. It may be difficult for you to strike up a JV deal or partnership if you are just starting out. Nobody wants to take a risk on a "no-name" and potentially ruin THEIR own name. You may need to build some credibility first.

That's the basics. Again, we have everything outlined in specific details from what to say ... to what NOT to say and how to approach a potential JV and what you should send them and contracts and so forth in the Cash Flow Reporter.

Frequently Asked Questions (Part 2)

I was wondering what your thoughts are on Pay Per Click search engines? Should I use them, do they work, what's the positive, what's the negative, etc., etc.? Also, does AdMinder track Pay Per Click ad campaigns? I don't think so since none of the other programs do, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Okay, you asked a lot of different questions ... let me try and organize it all so I can make sure each question gets answered. Let's just start from the top:

"What's Pay Per Click?"

Entire sites are devoted to this question, so I'll give it to you briefly ... Basically, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising means that you literally pay a specific amount of money per "click", or in other words, per visitor to your site.

This was first made popular with pay-per-click search engines such as a GoTo.com ... but these days you can pay for any type of visitor from any type of advertising medium (search engines, newsletters, other websites, etc.)

"Does it work and what's the positive?"

Yes, it does work because you are paying for results. For example, you may pay 40 cents PER person who comes to your site from a search engine such as GoTo.com. In some ways this reduces your risk because you only pay for results.

If nobody comes to your site from GoTo.com (for example), then you do NOT pay. Less risk on your part, and you'll also know beforehand exactly how much you're paying for traffic.

"What's the negative?"

Well, there really isn't a negative except for the fact that you MUST be able to determine beforehand how much a typical visitor is worth to you. EXACTLY how much a visitor is worth.

For example, if every visitor that comes to your site is worth $1 to you it would be "stupid" for you to pay $2 Per-Click.

(Unless you are willing to lose money on the "front-end" in the hopes of building your traffic very quickly and/or you had plans to sell them something on the "back-end" and make more money.)

You would be losing money if you did that. And you know, most people just BLINDLY spend money on PPC promotions without ever putting in the time and effort to track everything at their site so that they know the VALUE of a visitor.

"Can AdMinder track pay per click?"

Yes! When we first designed AdMinder it didn't track PPC ads. It was too complicated and frankly we didn't see a big need for it. Remember, we designed this awesome program over 2 years ago to track our OWN promotions. NOBODY else had access to it.

We designed it because we were losing money on some of our ads and promotions. But as soon as we began utilizing AdMinder, we increased our sales and dramatically decreased our losses from ineffective ads. The net effect was that we DOUBLED our profits.

As we noticed the massive demand for a good web-based tracking system, we revamped the entire system and made it user-friendly so that anyone (including you) could take advantage of it.

Recently there has been a huge market surge towards this type of Pay-Per-Click advertising. This is good because as I explained above, PPC is great ... because you are only paying for results.

Well, as with any product or service that we develop, we had to expand and upgrade AdMinder because once again, there was a big demand for accurate tracking of Pay-Per-Click ads and promotions.

And yes, AdMinder is the FIRST and ONLY service that has PPC tracking!

Thanks for taking the time to read this issue. As always, we would greatly appreciate it if you wanted to "Give Feedback & Win" or if you have any ideas for a future newsletter issue or article. Take care and have a great day!
